Also in attendance were Barbara Cimmino, Vice President of Confindustria Nazionale, and Thomas Stiller, General Manager of LU-VE Tianmen.
Uboldo (VA), August 29, 2025 – LU-VE Group, a multinational company based in Varese and listed on Euronext Star Milan and one of the world’s leading players in the field of air heat exchangers, welcomed an institutional delegation from Hubei Province (China) yesterday at its headquarters. The delegation was led by Vice Governor Chen Ping and Tianmen Municipality Deputy Mayor Zeng Linghui.
The visit, which brought together senior officials of the province and municipality as well as representatives of companies, banks and investment institutions, marked a formal recognition of LU-VE Group’s role as a benchmark model for foreign investment development in China.
The event was also attended by Confindustria Vice President Barbara Cimmino and Thomas Stiller, General Manager of LU-VE Tianmen, the Group’s plant in China.
“LU-VE was the first, and still remains the only, Western company established in Tianmen Municipality. This makes us particularly proud and confirms the soundness of our strategic choices,” said Matteo Liberali, President and CEO of LU-VE Group. “Collaboration with local institutions has been crucial for the development of our activities and for strengthening our presence in such a key market as China. The Hubei delegation expressed its intention to recognize LU-VE Group as a successful example of cooperation between European companies and the Chinese territory. This is a source of pride for us and an incentive to continue with determination on our path of international growth, always balancing Italian roots with a global vision.”
Chen Ping, Vice Governor of Hubei Province, declared: “It is a great honor for me to be in Varese today. Relations between Italy and China date back to the ancient Silk Road and are today gaining new strength thanks to companies like LU-VE Group, which with its investment in Tianmen has created over 100 new jobs and generated revenues of more than 130 million yuan in just one year, with prospects of reaching 300 million yuan within the next three years. Hubei Province, with 61 million inhabitants, a GDP of 6 trillion yuan, more than 130 universities, and world-class industrial clusters, offers favorable conditions for investors and an increasingly efficient logistics network. We are confident we can establish lasting cooperation also with Confindustria Varese, particularly in the component manufacturing sector. This journey does not only mean that Italian companies will take root in Hubei, but also that investors from our province will look with interest to Varese and its territory.”
Barbara Cimmino, Vice President of Confindustria for Export and Investment Attraction, emphasized: “The visit of the Hubei delegation to LU-VE Group demonstrates how the institutional agreement between Italy and China on strategic and technological partnership can translate into concrete cooperation between companies and territories. Confindustria and Confindustria Varese intend to strengthen this path together with Hubei Province, recognizing LU-VE Group as a model of sustainable competitiveness and shared growth, able to transform innovation and international cooperation into value for productive communities and people.”
This visit is part of the Group’s growth strategy in China, where in December 2024 LU-VE Tianmen inaugurated the expansion of its production plant, doubling its surface area from 19,000 sqm to over 43,000 sqm, with new areas dedicated to manufacturing and storage. The investment is part of the Chinese government program “For China from China” and the “Belt and Road Initiative” strategy, which encourage the entry and long-term establishment of foreign industrial companies in inland areas.
The new Tianmen plant, dedicated to the production of cooling systems for data centers and power generation, represents a strategic hub in two fast-growing sectors. At the same time, LU-VE Group continues to pursue its vision of technological innovation and sustainability, offering low environmental impact and high energy efficiency solutions.
«The challenges we have faced over the past six years in China have been many, but what has struck us most is the constant support of the institutions. I wish to thank Hubei Province and the city of Tianmen, of which I am a proud citizen. LU-VE’s vision will continue to guide us in the coming years: the best is yet to come. » commented Thomas Stiller, General Manager of LU-VE Tianmen.
